Hello Skiers,

Happy New Year! Snow levels stay low for the early part of the week. Today through Wednesday we are expecting just very light snow showers as the main part of the storm track and associated precipitation is aimed at northern California. However, the best chance of any light snow over this period will be for Crystal Mountain.

By Thursday (see map below) a trough of low pressure ("L" in the map below) will move into our region later Thursday and Friday. The net result will be some new snowfall, close to 5 inches on Thursday and Friday close to 3 inches. Snow levels will rise some for these days, perhaps up to 4000 feet, but can certainly be in the 3000 to 3500 feet levels.

Finally, expecting more snowfall next weekend. Enjoy the start of 2023 with the great snowpack that we have (and we will be adding to the snowpack)!
