Short Term Forecast - Snow for late Saturday and Sunday.

Later this Saturday and into Sunday an area of low pressure and cold front will swing into the Washington Cascades and bring some welcome snowfall. How much snowfall for the 24 hours ending at 5 pm on Sunday? Areas at 4000 feet will have 5 to 8 inches and areas at 5000 up to 10 inches. The biggest winners look like Mt. Baker Ski Area and Crystal Mountain Resort. You should check with these resorts to see what the opening day status might be. There is no opening day announced at the time of our report.
