Hello Powder Alert Fans,

  • Friday: Cloudy with light snow for mid slopes
  • Saturday: Sunny and warmer
  • Sunday: Continued sunny
  • Monday: Mostly sunny spring skiing continues

Short Term Discussion

Most ski areas reported 4 to 6" of new snow during on Wednesday. This includes areas in the west like Stevens Pass and Crystal Mountain and includes our friends in the Inland areas, 49 Degrees North and Silver Mountain.

More powder is coming with 2 to 4" by Friday morning at 3000 to 4000' as the map below shows. Friday will bring some brief afternoon sun breaks and some light snow showers.

Saturday and continuing through Monday a ridge of high pressure builds. This is indicated in the second map with the red colors. From Saturday through Monday, we can enjoy skiing in bright sun and mild temperatures.

Check out the extended outlook.

Extended Outlook

Most of Tuesday will be dry with increasing clouds later in the day and chances of light snow mainly in the late afternoon and evening.

Wednesday and Thursday, a trough of low pressure and associated cold front moves in for more snow coming our way. The graph shows conditions at Stampede Pass, at 4000' just east of Snoqualmie Pass. The good news is additional snow of 4" by early Friday and more after that.

Our next update will be Sunday, March 31.
