Hello Powder Alert Fans,

  • Monday: Sunny
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny early with increasing clouds later
  • Wednesday: 2 to 4" mid to upper slopes
  • Thursday: 2 to 4" mid to upper slopes

Short Term Discussion

A weak ridge of high pressure (the arrow on the map below) will be in place Monday and most of Tuesday. Thus, we can expect mostly sunny conditions, especially on Monday, then some clouds on Tuesday. It will be dry over this period. The trough (circled on map) will move in on Wednesday and Thursday to bring some light snow for Wednesday and Thursday.

The map below is showing snow totals over a 24 hour period ending Friday morning, April 26. Much of the Washington West Cascades will be getting 2 to 4" for the mid to upper slopes. Crystal Mountain might be seeing higher totals so make sure you check it out. They are scheduled to be open Friday, April 26 through April 28.

Map 2 shows a bigger picture of the Northwest snowfall for that Friday, April 26. This shows the popular spots in Oregon that should get some snowfall. Before heading out, click here for operations details.
