Hello Skiers,

This rare November dry spell continues but will ease a little on Saturday and again next Tuesday. November is typically our wettest month and is often especially stormy during the second half. But for now, dont expect any big storms rolling through.

A stubborn high pressure, which has been causing the dry weather over the Northwest will flatten on Saturday allowing a weak system to dissipate over Western Washington. This system is completely worthless. The snow level will be high at 8,000 ft and precipitation will be light.
No help.

Expect a couple of dry days for Sunday and Monday. Then a slightly more robust system comes in for Tuesday with a 5,000-6,500 ft snow level and maybe an inch to a few inches on the upper slopes and mainly North Cascades (Baker) and Whistler. Again, nothing to write home about, but at least its a nod from Mother Nature that the weather is not completely stuck in the dry mode.

After the very minor snowfall of Tuesday, expect a couple more days of dry weather. Then there will be another minor (possibly moderate) weather system late next week.

Sorry, thats the best I can do for now. Remember we can see ski areas open with just a couple of moderate to large storms, but so far I am not seeing it. We can only forecast out 5-7 days. But there are hints of larger changes after mid-November.

Best regards from the Kingdom of Powder

your Grand Poobah of Powder.
