Hello skiers and snowboarders,
The good news is that we will have snow levels at 3000 feet or slightly lower for Sunday through much of next week. We expect 4 - 8" (see map below) of snow for the 36-hour period ending Monday at 4 pm. Crystal Mountain should be getting 8" during this period. Interestingly several other models are indicating 10"+ of new snow between Sunday and later on Monday.
Tuesday, light snow is expected, and continued cool temperatures. Late Tuesday night and, more likely on Wednesday an area of low pressure moves inland to bring up to 10" of powder for the ski resorts in Western Washington for New Year's Day. The inland resorts 49 Degrees North and Silver Mountain will also enjoy the snow party of about 4 inches on New Year's Day.
For Thursday we are expecting light snow.
Sunday to Monday: 4 - 8"
Tuesday: 1"
Wednesday: 10"
Thursday: 1"
