Hey Spring…Snow, Sun then Rain ahead and then more Snow?

We are expecting additional snow for Monday and Tuesday. Monday, the snow is mainly for the mid to upper slopes, and on Tuesday, the snow will be on the mid-slopes. The map below indicates 5 to 8" for Tuesday. These snow totals are for Mt. Baker, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Crystal Mt.


Early Wednesday, we are expecting some light snow, and then a ridge of high pressure will briefly build on Wednesday and into most of Thursday. This pattern will bring some mild temperatures with some sunbreaks for much of Wednesday and into Thursday morning. Then rain moves in later on Thursday.

  • Wednesday - 2" early, then sunny

  • Thursday - Sunbreaks early, then rain in the afternoon

  • Lower Slopes - Under 4000'

  • Mid-Slopes - 4000 to 5500'

  • Upper-Slopes - Above 5500'

Over this period, forecast models show a trough of low pressure and an associated cold front moving in on Friday and staying in our region for Saturday and Sunday.


Many models indicate up to 10" for the mid-slopes (see map below) for the 24 hours ending Sunday afternoon, 4/13. We might even get snow for the lower slopes as well.
