Hello skiers and snowboarders,
This is a special update today since we are expecting some new snow between Friday and Sunday. Many locations at the Western Washington resorts will get 10" of snow (see map below) over this period, especially at 4000'. I am still expecting some snow below 4000' but possibly rain/snow briefly at times. The heaviest snow will occur later in the day and evening on Saturday.
On Sunday light snow is expected at the mid to upper slopes as we have some warming with snow levels at 4500 to 5000'.
Saturday to Sunday early morning: 10"
Sunday late morning to afternoon: 1 to 2"
Monday: Some sun breaks especially mid to upper slopes
Tuesday: Some sun breaks especially mid to upper slopes

Extended Outlook - Wednesday 1-8 to Friday 1-10
We are expecting a strong ridge of high pressure to be anchored over much of the West Coast for most of this period. The map below is for conditions at 18,000' and depicts the ridge. There will also be a ridge of high pressure at the surface. Thus dry for Wednesday and Thursday with snow returning by Friday.
The next update will be issued this coming Sunday.
