Hello Powder Alert Fans,

  • THURSDAY: Sunny and mild
  • FRIDAY: Sunny and warmer
  • SATURDAY: Sunny and warm
  • SUNDAY: Cooler and the chance of very light rain (snow on upper slopes)

The weather theme for Thursday through this Saturday will feature a strong ridge of high pressure at the surface and aloft. With this pattern, we can expect warming conditions and plenty of sun. How warm will it be? For this Friday and Saturday, freezing levels are up to 13,000 feet. So we are expecting high temperatures near 80 at 3000/4000'. See the table below. A few models are slightly lower but still warm!

Bring plenty of sunscreen and spring wax.

This Friday and Saturday will be optimal days to enjoy spring skiing if your goal is sunny and warm. See the list below of places that will be open. Sunday, we expect cooling conditions and an increase in clouds as a cold front starts to move toward the Washington West Cascades. Chances of very light rain (light snow on upper slopes) for the West Cascades later on Sunday. Then snow levels drop to 3500' by Monday.

Conditions on Sunday for these locations to the east will offer dry and mild: 49° North, Mission Ridge, and Silver Mountain.
