Hello skiers,

Snowfall will increase this week, but the snow level may be a problem late in the week.

New snow will fall in the Cascades by late Monday afternoon continuing into early Tuesday. A modest weather front will move in with the new snowfall, while the snow level will remain fairly low, near 3,000 ft. That means all the slopes will receive additional snowfall, from 4-11

Expect a break on Wednesday, then increasing snow (and rain) with a rising snow level (6,500 ft) on Thursday, lowering a little on Friday (5,000). There will be modest snow accumulations for Thursday and Friday 2-9 (two day total).

There is snow on most of the ski slopes right now, from last week. I would guess a few inches on the lower slopes to a foot or two on the upper slopes. Still, there are a lot of thin spots. I think by the end of the week or weekend there may be a minimal amount of snow to see a limited opening for some ski areas, but its a bit thin, so no guarantees.

Ill have another update late in the week.
