Hello skiers,

Expect new snow and a low snow level for a wonderful Friday of quality powder skiing. There will be 4-9 of new when you arrive and an inch or two more during the day. The snow level will be 2,000 -2,500 ft. Friday night will see a little more (1-3), with occasional snow showers during the day on Saturday. Again, with low snow levels (1,500 2,000ft).

Later Saturday night into Sunday a modest atmospheric river (AR) moves in with rising snow levels (4,500ft). Sunday will see a rain/snow mix on the lower slopes and heavy snow on the upper slopes. A bit sticky in places with lumpy rain in the ski area bases. Sunday may be challenging with wind and poor visibility, beside the damp snowflakes toward the bottom.

Monday will see more wet snow at times, as this is a slow-moving AR. The AR will finally push through with lowering snow levels on Tuesday (1,500ft). Target Tuesday for a good powder day.

Obviously, I favor Friday and Saturday over Sunday, because of the rising snow levels with the possibility of a rain/snow mix on the lower slopes.

Have fun out there and be safe.
