Hello Skiers,

There is terrific skiing ahead as more snow is coming for the Cascades while the temperatures nudge upward.

Friday will see a mix of a little snow and partial clearing early, then increasing clouds in the afternoon. The snow coverage and snow depth is now near or even above normal in most locations.

The forecast is looking good for the MLK weekend with respectable new snow early Saturday morning continuing through the day. Yep its a Powder Day. Expect 3-7 of new snow when you arrive, with an additional 3-5 during the day on Saturday. Youll be skiing in snow most of the day. Snow level (SL) will be up about 1,500 feet. That is a higher SL than weve seen this past week, but still plenty low for great quality snow. More snowfall will be seen at Stevens, Baker, and Whistler, as this storm slightly favors northern locations. Snow refills all day!

There will be a bit of leftover additional snowfall by Sunday morning (1-4) with the SL ticking up to 3,500 feet. Otherwise expect partial clearing with a mix of excellent groomers and isolated powder stashes.

On your MLK holiday Monday, there will be a combination of partial clearing and a little snowfall possible (trace to 3). Expect another fine day on the slopes to round out your weekend.

Have a good one. Take it easy on the road.
