Powder Alert – Weather Update – March 5

Sorry to report, nothing new ahead for this weekend.

High pressure will control our weather through Monday, diverting the storm track elsewhere. That will mean a continuation of mostly sunny and dry weather for the Cascades with spring like conditions. Don’t forget the sunscreen.

An actual weather system will make its way in on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Not an epic, but closer to a 98 lb weakling. Right now the snow level looks like it will be 3500ft and snowfall will be 2″- 7″. That is good enough to freshen up the slopes, bringing the snowpack back to life in spots. Sadly, it won’t help the lower elevations to any great degree.

Skiing continues at several western Washington ski areas. North facing, and upper elevation slopes are preferred. Please call ahead for details.
